Hello, author! I am so excited this year, you have no idea! I love all these fandoms, so whichever one you choose, I will be waiting impatiently for Christmas so I can read all its goodness!

청춘시대 | Age of Youth

Characters: Song Ji Won, Im Sung Min, Seo Dong Joo, Kang Yi Na

Oh, how I love this drama! All those wonderful relationships to explore, both platonic and romantic, I just want everything!

Hands down, my favorite character is Song Ji Won. She has absolutely no personal boundaries, she says inappropriate things, and she is so uninhibitedly sexually frustrated I can't stand it.

She is the main comic relief in this otherwise angsty show, but she still has a dark side that really needs more exploration. While the other female characters got to share their secrets with the audience, Ji Won did not. Her lie about the ghost was the catalyst for much of the other characters cathartic confessions of what horrible things they did, did not do, or feel guilty about, but we don't know why Ji Won was known as "Liar Song" in high school. And in the end, the one who lives on with the secret regarding the death of Eun Jae's father, is Ji Won.

My obsessions with this show lie in Ji Won's past (the lying) and her relationship to her sunbae, Im Sung Min. I really wanted her to be with Sung Min in the end, and while it was close, it didn't really happen. If you are interested in writing shippy fic, I would love for something that explores Sung Min's attraction to Ji Won.

Though for most of the drama he shoots down her propostions of a relationship, (are they jokes? half jokes?) he isn't immune to her. We see that at the end when he attempts to talk to her as he would a girlfriend. But in the end, what is it that makes him reluctant to accept her? Maybe it's because she's embarrassing? Sure, she farts in front of him, can't keep her hands to herself, and is always waiting for him outside the men's room, but are these the only reasons he can't bring himself to go there? Also, what is with Ji Won? Does she like him or does she just want to have a relationship with anyone?

If ship fic isn't your thing, I'd like to see some exploration of Ji Won's character. Why does she lie? Will her knowledge of Eun Jae's father eventually eat at her until she confesses? Will this lie bring her and Sung Min closer together?

If all of that is too angsty or heavy for you, Ji Won being her lovely inappropiate self will do just nicely! I loved the party, so maybe there's another phallus worship party and this time its actually successful! Or maybe, Ji Won and Sung Min go on a journalistic adventure, and then tropes happen (you know, there's only one room in the inn...).

War and Peace (TV 2016)

Characters: Pierre Bezukhov, Natasha Rostov</b>

These two will be the death of me. I love this kind of tension in relationships, where one person loves the other for so long, and finally it is returned. In Pierre's case, it is especially beautiful. He's such a wonderful person, and he loves Natasha so very much. That she eventually returns his affection and love, it hits all my angsty buttons.

I'd love to see what happens right after they kiss in the drawing room, or perhaps an introspective look into Natasha's feelings, and how she came to realize her love for Pierre. Perhaps Pierre is feeling doubtful that she is really over Andre, or maybe he has to deal with the trauma of being married to Helene, who didn't do a very good job of pretending she didn't want to sleep with him. Whatever it might be, there is room for much character exploration, or ship fic. I also wouldn't say no to wedding night sexy times, if you want to go there. I believe Pierre would be a competent and attentive lover, which would alleviate some of the need for people to portray him as a buffoon.

치즈인더트랩 | Cheese in the Trap

Characters: Hong Seol, Yu Jeong

This drama was so....disappointing, so what I want the most here is fix-it-fic. I don't care if you don't follow the webtoon because its still going on and not all of it is in English yet, my primary focus is on the drama. Yu Jeong got the shaft in terms of character, and I want it to be fixed! He is so much more than what the drama gave him, and understanding him is the key to understanding why Seol loves him. That scene where she runs to him after running away from home is the last great moment for Jung/Seol, so if you want to continue from there with whatever you like, I would be happy with anything.

Okay, so there are the fandoms! Please, do what you want with these characters. I would take gladly take sexytimes or romance, or even just awesome gen if you don't ship these characters or don't want to write romance.

Sexual Tropes I Like

- First time together.
- Affection, accidental touching and reactions, sexual tension (always a plus), introspection to characters own reactions.
- Body worship, scars, fetishizing of a certain body part, like the ears or neck, toes, etc.
- Sex on against the wall or on the kitchen counter, carpet, beds, chairs, etc.
- Mild and consensual Sub/Dom, like spanking, fetishizing, light bondage
- Sharing a bed, falling asleep on the other's shoulder, dreams, witnessing nightmares, etc.

I guess you could say I like vanilla with lots of stuff on the top.

Non-sexual Tropes I Like

-Unrequited Love that Eventually Gets Requited. I love the angst and tension of these kinds of fics.
-Humorous hyjinks.
-Character introspection.

Things I Don’t Like

-Major character death.
-When writers use phrases like, “said, the redheaded beauty.” I really hate it. I like pronouns.
-When my ships die! Gen is fine, I just don't want to read a story about Natasha being with Andre and not Pierre.

Thank you, writer. I hope you don't stress about it, because as long as you want to write it, I want to read it!

Hello, dear Yuletide writer! Once again I want to thank you for writing for me. I hope it isn't too difficult for you, and you are writing something you want to! Please, also write for yourself, don't stress, and most of all, have fun.

These are in no particular order....

Justified

Tim Gutterson/Rachel Brooks

No two characters are more deserving of a spinoff show than Tim and Rachel. Both are complex, interesting, sexy, and (if I had my way) would be the next Mulder and Scully of Kentucky, catching bad guys with lots of sexual tension.

Prompts: I said Mulder and Scully, so why not? Aliens or paranormal stuff starts happening in Harlan or Lexington, and they have to investigate. Pretend marriage hijinks ensue? I prefer shippy fic, but if you can't stand that idea, you could write casefic with them working as partners.

Minority Report (2002)

John/Agatha

I have adored Agatha, and in turn, Samantha Morton since I saw this movie way back in 2002. I always felt that the relationship between John and Agatha was unique, rich for exploration, and quite wonderful. It never seemed right to me that they were together in such an intense way, having built this trust, this unbreakable bond--and then having John go back to his ex-wife, and Agatha going off to live in some house in the middle of nowhere. I felt they should have been together--not necessarily romantically, but with John taking care of her, and maybe learning to live (and love, so yes romantically) again. I'm all for slow burn here, so if you don't want to write sexual or really obvious romantic situations, that's okay. I just prefer that they aren't with other people.

Prompts: John has to protect Agatha from those that might exploit her, or maybe he tries to teach her how to take care of herself (A kitchen disaster? Shrinking his laundry?)

The Conjuring

Drew/Andrea Perron

I get this is a long shot, but there is something about this couple that I can't seem to let go of. My ship stems from just one tiny scene when Drew first arrives at the Perron house and he is setting up that electromagnetic machine, and he is showing her how it works, and there is this flirtation, this spark between them. It just hits all the right buttons for me, and if for some miraculous reason it does for you too, I would not say no to this fic.

Prompts: Andrea goes off to college and discovers her dorm, or some building is haunted, and contacts Drew to come and get rid of it. Maybe some spirit latches itself onto her and she calls him to help her. Or you could write them in the Perron house during the events of The Conjuring, and add scenes between them within the context of the film. Whatever it is, if you write these two in a romantic situation, I will love it.

Selfie

Eliza/Henry

I'm still devastated this show got cancelled, and we never got to see Eliza and Henry together. SO DISAPPOINTING. But I suppose that is where fic comes in...so if you want to write a continuation of this pair getting together, go for it. I heart them and I will never let them go. Red-headed Korean babies forever.

Prompts: Sexual Tension. That is all.

Revenge

Emily/Nolan

I really couldn't understand why the creators of this show said that Nolan and Emily would never happen. It was the only obvious pair for me, so if you feel the same, then write a "fix-it" fic and get these two together pronto. I think even with Emily's hardness and Nolan's charm, they avoid a cliche because they are already friends, and trust one another. They've been through so much together, I just can't see them with anyone else.

Prompts: Sudden realization of love, either with Emily or Nolan. Maybe one is injured or in trouble, and they have to save them. If not, then a quiet admission Jane Austin style wouldn't go amiss here either. Maybe they run away to Europe, or take a trip across the ocean on a yacht. Whatever, just build the tension and let them go at it!

The Librarians

Cassandra Cillian/Ezekiel Jones

For me, this ship is just about as perfect as can be. Ambiguous morality forever.

Because I love these two more than the show itself, it doesn't even have to be set in the show's context. Give me Cassandra and Ezekiel anywhere--AU, casefic, AU!Ezekiel and AU!Cassandra tearing through space and time as Librarians of Moral Ambiguity! Whatever your brain comes up with! Use any trope you desire to give these two romantic sexy times, or even unintentional sexy times (visiting a place where consummation must ensue?) where they realize they have amazing chemistry and can take over the world. If that isn't your thing, that's okay too.

Sexual Tropes I Like

- First time together sex.

Non-sexual Tropes I Like

-Unrequited Love that Eventually Gets Requited. I love the angst and tension of these kinds of fics.

Things I Don’t Like

-Major character death, especially my favorite characters.
-When writers use phrases like, “said, the redheaded beauty.” I like pronouns.
-When my favorite ships sink and drown because they are in relationships with other characters.

Okay, so there they are. Please, do what you want. I would take gladly take sexytimes or romance, or even just awesome casefic with good friendships if you can't bring yourself to go there. Just enjoy the writing process and don't stress about it.

First, thank you for writing my precious babies into a fic. They are rare and will never get much love, so whatever you write, I will cherish forever.

The Librarians

Cassandra Cillian/Ezekiel Jones

This is currently the ship of my heart. These two are so adorable and complex in ways that have yet to be explored. Cassandra's willingness to betray the others in turn for removing the tumor in her brain, and Ezekiel's bluntness in that he would leave them all in a second to save his life (though I wonder how much of that is really talk...), together they make such a perfect pair, it kills me to see her paired with Jake Stone. Grr.

I like smut, its practically all I write.

The 100

Monty Green/Clarke Griffin

Monty Green is my favorite character, hands down, and it hurts me, hurts me that he doesn't get to have a romantic storyline. It is the one thing that bothers me most about this show, and I can't help but think stereotypes play a role in this. *sigh* Lamesauce.

I see Monty and Clarke together, because he's like the heart/head to her head/heart. Does that make sense? He is compassionate, smart, quietly strong, and he trusts her. She is smart, passionate, and a leader with her heart buried deep within her. I see them as yin and yang, but mushed together. One is not exclusive of the other. I think this pairing would be extremely interesting, surprising, and culturally subversive.

Misaeng

Jang Baek-Ki/Ahn Young-Yi
Han Seok Yul/Ahn Young-Yi

Well, if you happened to be paired with me for this, I'm pretty much amazed. Obviously Baek-Ki and Young-Yi is shipped, and deservedly so. They are adorable.

Seok Yul and Young Yi could be kind of sexy in an odd, funny, sort of way. I though he deserved a shot at her, at least in the fan fiction world. If this strikes your fancy, go for it! Maybe they drink too much soju and end up sleeping together? Maybe he's super good in bed, lol. Maybe they go for another truck ride. HAHA.

Hot Young Bloods

Young Sook/Joong-Gil

Okay, this doesn't exist anywhere, so if you want to write them, I bow down to your amazingness. They are so wonderful and adorable, and while their relationship is fresh when the movie ends, I think their history is complex and rich enough to make a story about. I don't mind wedding night fic or a fix-it fic where they meet after both get beat up. Whatever you want. Sexytimes fic is always welcome.

Sexual Tropes I Like

- First time together sex.

Okay, so there they are. Please, do what you want. I would take sexy smut over anything else, if that is what you want to write, so don't feel pressure.

Thanks again!

Dearest YuletideWriter,

First of all, thank you so much for writing this letter. I hope you find something that inspires you to create something that will please you, as much as me! I write the stuff I want to read, so I hope you can do something similar.

Likes

-I like Het. All my ships contain characters I ship together, so if you are into writing fic with these pairings, Smut it up if that strikes your fancy! I love a good first time sex romp, or even established relationship sexy times. If that is not your thing, or you don’t ship my ship, I like gen as well. I’d like something character focused even if it’s not romantic or sexual in nature.

-I also like character exploration, fics about my favorite characters doing things together, their thoughts on each other, fics with missing scenes, fics that explore what happens in the future, post canon, or fics that explore what might have happened if the characters had made different choices.

-I would love plotty romantic smut in my fic, but not PWP. Please don’t feel pressured to do any of that if it makes you uncomfortable, or if you have some brilliant idea for a scene between characters that you just have to write, do that. Chances are if it makes you excited it will make me excited too!
-I like themes of darkness, but not complete tragedy. If the characters experience angst and depression, that’s fine, but I would like a happy ending, or at least one that was tinged with hope.
-Fix-It Fics are one of my favorites, especially when it comes to romantic relationships.
-I like it when characters turn out happy. I'm not afraid to admit it, especially for Korean dramas. They are formulaic writing at its best (or sometimes, worst) is boundless with tropes, and is always asking for more (especially the ones you don't get, like sex pollen...) Since you are probably matched with me because Korean Dramas, I know I don't have to explain this. In case you are that 0.09 % that happened to offer The Other Boleyn Girl, there is a link HERE for info about Korean Dramas and their tropes.

Things I Don’t Like

-Major character death, especially my favorite characters.
-My favorite characters paired off with other people, unless it’s temporary and my OTP ends up together.
-Really gory fics, genderbending, AU.
-When writers use phrases like, “said, the redheaded beauty.” I like pronouns.

Sexual Tropes I Like

- First time together sex.
- Sharing a bed, falling asleep on the other's shoulder, dreams, witnessing nightmares.

Non-sexual Tropes I Like

-Fix-It fics, writing characters doing things, being with other characters as it ought to have been written (in my not so humble opinion).
-Unrequited Love that Eventually Gets Requited. I love the angst and tension of these kinds of fics. Its pretty much all I write.

Mirae’s Choice

You can read the episode recaps, here.

Characters:
Park Se Joo
So Yoo Kyung

A Korean drama that came out last year, the story revolves around a girl named Na Mirae, whose future self goes back in time to prevent herself from marrying Kim Shin, and urges her to marry the Vice President of the Broadcasting station she works at, Park Se Joo. Apparently, Kim Shiin has made her life miserable, and she wants to prevent that.

So future!Mirae comes back and prevents present!Mirae meeting Kim Shin the way they are supposed to. Mirae travels to Jeju where in a rather sensual little scene, takes off her clothes on the beach and goes swimming with the fishes. Se Joo has been filming her until she undresses and gets all flustered. But in typical drama world, she starts to drown and he saves her and falls in love with her, “because of water.”

So, what was supposed to happen, didn’t. Mirae was supposed to be rear ended by Kim Shin and Yoo Kyung was supposed to go to Jeju and meet Se Joo, also "because of water" and be with her. But because future!Mirae messed it up, because unfortunately both Kim Shin and Se Joo end up falling in love with Mirae, leaving poor Yoo Kyung, who has still fallen in love with Se Joo, out in the cold.

Against typical dramas that portray the second female lead as some crazy psycho who will do anything to be with the man she loves is obsessed with, Yoo Kyung is perhaps the sanest character in the show, and knows exactly what she wants, instead of dallying around and being wishy washy (like Mirae). Even at the end, she decides to go to the States on a journalism scholarship, pursuing her career. It’s bittersweet, because she speaks to Se Joo, asking him if he had seen her first, would he have fallen in love with her, and he says yes. Ouch.

I feel Yoo Kyung got screwed. It didn’t makes sense as to (since this is about fate and choices and all) why Kim Shin would still have fallen in love Mirae and vice versa, but the same didn’t happen for the other two? And since I like Fix It Fics, these two are perfect for that trope.

Prompt Option (but you don’t have to!)

-Se Joo goes to the States and meets Yoo Kyung, and ends up falling in love with her over a period of time, perhaps seeing her in the water as he was supposed to in JeJu?

Answer Me 1994

Characters:
Chilbong
Chicken Girl/Future Wife
Baseball Manager

Episode Recaps Here.
Chicken Girl/Future Wife appears, in episode 21, Here.
Baseball Manager appears in Episode 6, Here.

Another Korean drama where the love triangle becomes ridiculous in a “who will she marry?” trope that ends up making the male character who didn’t get the girl look psycho obsessive and slightly unhinged.

If you look up the ship of this drama, it will be polarized by those who wanted Sung Na Jung to be with Chilbong, the baseball player, and those (who got their wish) ended up with Surreki, or Trash, Oppa. It got brutal, really brutal. If you don’t believe me, check out the comments on Dramabeans or Omonattheydidnt.

So since Chilbong started out as a great character before descending into crazy, I thought it would be nice to explore his other girl options, such as the Baseball Manager with the backwards baseball cap and a penchant for flipping the bird.

tumblr_mwla5slLlf1qc7riro1_500

She seemed a better fit for him.
Or, you could take the Chicken Girl/Future Wife, that he meets in the last episode and explore the way they fall in love.

Either way I’d be happy! I just want Chilbong to be happy. And not an obsessive psycho.

Prompt Options

-Chilbong talks to the Baseball Manager about his romantic drama, calling her Manager the entire time, not knowing she’s liked him forever. Only towards the end, after he realized he likes her, does he ask her name. Feel free to make one up, if you like!
-Chilbong meets Chicken Girl, and is so smitten with her, and he ends up getting drunk with her that night instead of going home, only to fall in love later. She of course, wants him to stop comparing her to Na Jung.

The Other Boleyn Girl

Characters:
Mary Boleyn
William Stafford

This is kind of a random ship. I don't even really like the book, or the movie...perhaps I just adore the coupling of Scarlett Johannsson and Eddie Redmayne, but I really would like a fic exploring the beginning of their marriage, and when Mary Boleyn fell in love with William Stafford. Since there is not much to go on with this couple, the options you have are wide open!

My Love From the Star

Episode Recaps

Characters:
Lee Hee Kyung
Yoo Se Mi

Another drama where the second male and female leads get the shaft. Yoo Mi (played by the wonderful Yoo In Ah) is in love with Lee Hee Kyung who only has eyes for Cheon Song Yi, who ignores him for Do Min Joon. So we have two broken hearts at the end.

Cheong Song Yi and Yoo Se Mi are actresses and friends. Song Yi is the more successful of the two, and at most is indifferent, or at the least, oblivious to her friend's place in her shadow and her love of Hee Kyung. When Song Yi's career begins to flail and Se Mi starts getting leads, Se Mi is somewhat cruel to Song Yi, treating her as she felt she was treated. It isn't too hard to understand her actions, even though its cruel and petty, but it doesn't make her completely awful.

There were some beautiful moments between Se Mi and Hee Kyung, like the one where she confesses to him over the phone while they watch each other through the snow. Ugh. My heart. I want him to realize that love isn't about him being obsessive or hurting over Song Yi. I want him to take his friendship with Se Mi and turn it into something more. What is love except a deep friendship without cuddles and sexytimes?

Prompt Options

-They have to start pretend-dating and/or live together to save her/him from scandal.

Thank you for reading this and good luck! I can't wait to read what you've written!

I totally missed the signup for yuletide. >< But I will write treats! There are so many fandoms I'm interested in this year, including kdrama ones (finally) so I'll have a lot to do.

I sort of signed up for NANO but have done absolutely nothing. I just started a new job, so I haven't had the energy or time. Hopefully that will change soon. *sigh*
